My First Oil Painting

For my birthday this year my family pitched in together and bought me painting supplies and a painting class. In college I took drawing, sculpting and ceramics as part of my general credits. If I had any more credits that I needed then I would have taken oil painting. I have wanted to do this for a long time, so I was so happy to get this gift.

The class was very fun and I want to do it again. This is my first ever painting...hopefully one day I will be good at this. But I thought for the first try it wasn't too shabby!

86 to 30

Ryan and I took a fun, cheap trip to Arizona a few weeks ago. I went to see two of my most awesome friends and to relax! And Ryan tagged along because I told him that he could go to an Angels' spring training game!

Here is Ryan enjoying the game. If you look left of Ryan's shoulder you can see a black man with a black hat. That is a Hall of Famer baseball player that used to play for the Angels. Our seats were so good for the game that they were even better then his seats!

We were able to hang out with my life-long friend Kylee before she took off to San Diego. I didn't take a single picture of her though. We ended up staying up until 2 am chatting it up. What a blast!

Then we stayed the rest of the trip with my good friend Amber. We had fun playing Bunco and we also made a trip to the Mesa Temple. Can you tell that the sun is in our eyes!

Luckily Amber had a sweet little Pekapoo dog (Pekingese Poodle mix), so that we could get our dog loving fix while our dogs were at home.

Before we came home we had to hit an In-N-Out. Mmmm! I miss In-N-Out! I had my third burger since my surgery in June 2008. One of the other two was an In-N-Out burger too.

The worst part of the trip was when we went to the airport to leave and the temperature outside was a lovely 86 degrees and kiosk where we were checking in said, "Salt Lake City weather, 30 Degrees, Snowing". Ah, Utah!
