New York & New England

Ryan spent some of his growing up years in New England and I had never been to either New England or New York, so we packed up to go on our second trip in less than 2 months...this time to the other coast.

We only spent a few days in New York City, but I think we were able to fit in some fun events. We went to Central Park, a museum, Wall Street, Ground Zero, rode the subway (a lot because we are cheap), went to Madison Square, took a ferry to Liberty Island and Ellis Island, went to the top of the Empire State Building, and went to a Yankees game to cheer whatever team they were playing! Oh, and we ate tons of yummy food (again) and now I am even more fat!

The rest of our trip we spent in Connecticut and we stayed in a little inn that reminded me of the Dragonfly on Gilmore Girls. It was a nice relaxing time which included driving up to Massachusetts (so I could say that I had been there), visiting UCONN the day they won the championship, and visiting Mystic (a seaport town where Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts was filmed). Mystic reminded me of Park City by the sea, instead of by mountains.
